What is an Authentic Health, Wealth and Happiness Mindset?

An authentic health, wealth and happiness mindset is one that’s been created or designed on purpose and is built on the principles of right knowledge, self-awareness and freedom of choice.


This mindset focuses on the qualities of fulfillment, contentment, purpose, meaning, integrity and growth, more than just pleasure and trying to look good in others eyes. 


A primary life goal for one who has developed such a mindset could simply be to ‘feel good now’. 


During our coaching sessions with individuals wanting to better connect with themselves and their surroundings we look at the key areas of life and ask the client how they could improve each of those areas to better reflect who they are and what they want.


This tool is known as the ‘Wheel of Life’. During our exercises we ask the client to score each area out of 10 and then look at ways where they can make each area more pleasing and authentic to them. Ideally we’re looking to score a life satisfaction result of 7-9 in each of the areas and thus the wheel will turn. Any area with a stand-out low mark will stop the wheel from turning smoothly, and consequently make your ride a bumpy one.


For example: 


Career - 6/10 - Change from employed to self-employed to give greater flexibility and earning potential and find a new job or business opportunity that enables me to better express my skills and interests. 


Finance - 6/10 - Earn 10% more and spend 10% less - find cheaper car insurance and eat out less often.


Family - 7/10 - Call my Mum daily and reconnect with distant family. Give more time and attention to my cousin who needs a bit of extra support right now.


Relationships - 8/10 - Stay in touch with close friends even if it’s only a monthly call.

Socialise once or twice a week and listen more carefully when people are talking to me.


Goals - 8/10 - Yes I’m clear and happy with my main life goals.


Fun and Recreation - 4/10- Join a local band and start going to live gigs again.


Spirituality - 3/10 - Make more time for meditation and try to be mindful always. Pray more often and develop faith over fear. 


Health and Wellbeing - 2/10 - Lose 1 stone in weight, exercise 4+ times a week, breathe deeper and cut out takeaways.


In this example the client would want to realign their mindset especially in the last 3 areas and in doing so will naturally make positive changes in their thinking, actions and lifestyle. 


We all have an ‘Internal Guidance System’, our feelings, so can therefore guide ourselves to a better feeling, more authentic place, in all areas of our life as long as we’re connected and present to how we’re feeling.


When consciously aligning your mindset and lifestyle with your most authentic self it’s crucial to remember that we are mind, body and spirit. Each of these areas have to be looked at to become authentically healthy, wealthy and happy.
